RSA Visit

 Yesterday the children learned all about road safety rules when a member of the RSA came in to talk to 3rd and 4th class.

Tennis Lessons

Last week the girls in 4th class were really excited to start tennis lessons again!

World Book Day

 In March we celebrated World Book Day. The children came into school dressed as their favourite book characters. They also participated in buddy reading with senior infants and helped them to read their favourite books!

 When working towards our school global citizenship green flag, we were lucky to have the chance to learn about recycling from Ms Hyland, and all about Brazil!

For our global citizenship flag Ms Yang came in to talk to our class all about China, 4th class even learned to say a couple of phrases!

When learning about data in maths we created our own spinners and conducted some experiments!

 4th class worked on the topic of money in maths, and to practice adding and taking away money they were all given a budget and an iPad to research what they could spend their budgets on. 

Science Week !

 Last week for science week we completed lots of different experiments, learned about plant and animal cells with Louise and challenged ourselves to make the sturdiest bridge using only paper and sellotape.

 

October

 During October we had maths week, 4th class completed a range of different activities such as problem solving riddles, interactive maths games and even a game of 'Who wants to be a Mathionare'. 

We created lots of different Halloween art including these Picasso inspired witches/frankensteins!

4th class learned all about Ancient Greece in History and worked together in groups to research more and create Ancient Greece projects.

Finally, to finish off the month, we had our Halloween dress up day !
